Vertical Roots Leduc, is a micro-scale vertical hydroponic farm providing year round lettuce, kale, and arugula. It is the second franchise of Vertical Roots Canada, a long time client of Regen Aquaculture.
For this farm we were contracted to help improve the aeration system the vertical system. After several revisions to meet the unique project constraints we were able to develop a custom aeration system which was able to decrease the cost of the current air system, by 67%.
After approval of the design, I flew to Edmonton, Ca to assist with the installation of the plumbing system for the new design. Upon leaving the farm, Mike can be quoted saying more then once how he couldn't believe the system came together, and that they were 3 weeks ahead of schedule.
